I was so excited to be invited to enjoy the Spring Bloom Festival at King’s Dominion this year. I was provided with complimentary tickets to be able to tell you about my experience.
I couldn’t believe that this was year three of the Spring Bloom Festival and that I was just now hearing about it. King’s Dominion has always been on my list to visit and this was a great reason! There was lots to see and do from music to food and rides. I know that we will be going back next year because we had a blast!
All that the Spring Bloom Festival had to offer was amazing and to be able to try foods from all over from a great chef was great for this foodie. Being together with people that you are having a great time with made all of this even better. My kids are foodies too 😉
About the Spring Bloom Festival at Kings Dominion
On Saturdays and Sundays from April 16th through May 15th, people of all ages can go and enjoy the food and fun and of course the flowers! There is also live entertainment on the stage that you can listen to while you eat. How awesome is that?!
The Festival itself is located at the base of the Eiffel Tower where you can sample all that delicious food! Chef Paul Maloney will tantalize your taste buds that is for sure. At the base of the Eiffel Tower is where the Spring Bloom Food Faire happens! Food from four countries: Italy, Ireland, Switzerland and Germany, was featured. Make sure that you try them all!
Another great attraction is Sabrina Carpenter will be coming to Kings Dominion this Saturday, May 14th for a FREE concert in the Kingswood Amphitheater! yes, I said free! So get there early because seating will be first-come, first served. Spend your day at the park to enjoy Spring Bloom Festival and then have fun at her concert at 6 p.m.! Concert is already included with park admission.
I am a huge rides buff and so we made sure that we brought along so help with the kiddos so that we could enjoy the bigger rides as well as the family friendly ones! The kids loved Snoopy Land and who am I kidding…I loved it too. The newest attraction is the Delirium. It is a great ride for those that want the thrill buts not the huge drops.
My favorite “big kid” ride was definitely Intimidator, the fastest rollercoaster on the East Coast. I am looking forward to going back to the park as they have other GREAT events and festivals coming up!
List of Events:
Memorial Weekend Salute (5/28-5/30)
Star Spangled Celebration (7/2-7/4)
BBQ and Brewfest (8/6-8/21)
Great Pumpkin Festival (9/19-10/30)
You will love experiencing King’s Dominion just as much as my family and I did! I can’t wait to go back! Make sure that you get tickets to have some fun in the sun, too.
