Girl Scout cookies have got to be one of my biggest snacking weaknesses.
I had no idea there were two different bakers though, ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers. Where your Girl Scout cookies come from depends on where you live. I have always lived in Virginia and North Carolina, so my cookies I was familiar with came from Little Brownie Bakers.
ABC Bakers are the ones that make the cookies I have heard of such as Tagalongs, Thin Mints and Samoas. There are others, but these are the big three that people always seem to ask for. Well last year, I was asked by a fellow blogger if I would like to purchase Girl Scout Cookies from her kids.
Of course I was all for it because we love their cookies! They had cookies I had never heard of before and that was because their area got cookies from Little Brownie Bakers. Now, I am not biased in any way, but I saw there were differences in the cookies, so I had to cancel my order. I needed my Samoas and my husband would not be able to live without his Tagalongs during Girl Scout buying time.
Here are the differences in the cookies (ABC Bakers cookies on the left and Little Brownie Bakers cookies on the right).
I never would have known that there were two different bakers if I did not run into the different names on the cookies. Did you know that there were more than one version of the Girl Scout cookies that you know and love? Do you think you would give the other brand of “your cookie” a try?
My favorite cookie is the Samoa and I just don’t know if I could handle the differences to even try the Caramel deLites. What’s your favorite cookie?
